Shades Trucking is dedicated to meeting our customer's transportation needs with professional, superior service, and with a pride that is second to none. The road that brought our business from 1978 to today was built on a foundation of honesty and hard work.

C.B. Taylor - Shades to all who know him started out in Ohakea as an agricultural contractor. It was there where he gained his wealth of knowledge of large farm equipment.

In 1975 he made the move to Taupo where he ran and managed the BP Wairakei from a small gas station to become the largest commercial reseller of diesel in the North Island. In 1978 Shades moved into the transport industry and has been involved in it ever since.

From small beginnings and only one truck Shades started out doing the weekend paper delivery contract from Taupo to Auckland and still to this day holds the major paper contract in the North Island. In 1984 Shades branched out into plant and equipment hire with hydraulic cherry pickers working in construction on the Ohaaki Power Project and Fletchers MDF.

From a one truck business, Shades now transports everything from farm machinery, aviation equipment to your own personal household belongings.
